There's some nudity, and lots and lots of over the top gratuitous gore. The effects and gore are brilliant considering this 1985 classic was made for under $1,000,000, Re-Animator focuses on the aftermath of Herbert West giving a very large dose of the reagent to his deceased professor.As he experiments with dosages and finds success in reanimating animals, word begins to spread of the serum.

While Re-Animator is not a good example of Lovecraftian horror, it's still a suprisingly well done adaptation. The film's funny and gory and Jeffrey Combs is perfect in his leading role as Herbert West (even though his name is last on the credits and Dean Cain is supposed to be the hero of the story).
